Exit Devices

Exit devices and panic bars, are mechanical devices
(sometimes integrated with electro mechanic)
made to let building occupants quick and easy access to
outside of the structure in case of emergency.

By pushing on the exit device, doors will be unlock and can
be open by pushing to the outside during the emergency without
any key or knowledge of the specific hardware on the door.

Exit devices are required by building code and local
fire departments for many public buildings.
Buildings will not pass inspection if they are not up to
the life safety Code with door hardware.

Safety code requirements dictate that safe and easy egress must
always be possible in any building area or room where
many people (50 and more) or if the occupancies is less then
50 but it’s a high hazard including high voltage, generators,
air/water pump area etc.

The doors in all described above areas must always swing out
in the direction of people exiting the building in case of
emergency and must always be free to operate from the inside of
the area, yet they will be locked to prevent access from the outside.

All the exit devices available and compatible for wood, steel,
metal and aluminum doors, for single or double application
in many configurations.
